What we believe

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are inspired in the original writings, inerrant, and the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (Luke 24:27, 44, I Corinthians 2:13, II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)

God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections, and are worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence and obedience. (Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 1:10-11, 12:29, John 1:14, 4:24-26, 5:19, 6:30, 14:16,26, 16:7, Acts 5:3-4, 9, II Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-3, Revelation 1:4-6)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection after three days, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, visible return in power and glory. (Mark 16:6, 19, Luke 1:30-35, John 1:1-2, 14, Hebrews 4:15)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (John 6:63, 14:17, Acts 1:5, 8, 2:38, I Corinthians 12:7, II Corinthians 3:17-18, Romans 8:11, Galatians 5:22-26)

Man & Salvation

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. This salvation is applied only by grace, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. (Genesis 1:26-27, 3:17-24, John 3:5-6, 16, 6:44, 65, 14:6)

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost, unto the resurrection of condemnation. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, 8:17-18, Revelation 20:15)

Man & Salvation

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 17:20-22, Acts 4:32, I Corinthians 1:10, 12:13, Romans 12:4, Galatians 5:14-15, Ephesians 4:3-6, 16, I John 2:9-11)

The Purpose of the Church

The purpose of the Church is Great, Urgent, Critical, and Clear.
It is Great because we are called to impact every human being on planet earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is Urgent because time is running out. We do not know when Jesus will return and we do not know when anyone’s life will be terminated.
It is Critical because every believer will be held accountable before God for the deeds done in this life, and those who reject Christ will suffer agony for eternity in hell.
It is Clear because Jesus concisely stated our mission in two statements,
The Great Commandment and The Great Commission.

The Purpose of this Church is to glorify God through fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission with a great commitment to:

Worship

“To love God by participating in public worship services together to maintain personal daily devotions.” (John 4:24)

Ministry

“To love the lost by serving unselfishly in the name of Jesus meeting physical and emotional needs and by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world.” (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, 2 Peter 3:9)

“To love believers by serving unselfishly in the name of Jesus meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those in the church, the community and around the world, and help members develop toward full Christian maturity and equip them for effective ministry.” (1 Peter 4:10-11, Matthew 25:34-40, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Galatians 5:13, Ephesians 4:11-16)

Fellowship

“A commitment to each other to encourage, support, pray, and share our lives together as members of the family of God.” (1 John 1:7, Acts 2:44-47, Hebrews 10:24-25, Romans 15:5-7, John 13:34-35)

The Word

“Faithfully teaching the Bible and encouraging believers to hear, read, study, memorize, meditate, apply and teach its truths to others.” (Deuteronomy 6:1-9, Joshua 1:8, Ps 119:9-11, II Timothy, 2:2, 15, Ezra 7:10)

Giving

To give generously, sacrificially, and submissively in order to meet urgent needs, (Titus 3:14, 2 Corinthians 9:6-19) support ministry, (Philippians 4:15-18, 2 Corinthians 11:8, 1 Timothy 5:17-18) and demonstrate our love for the Lord.
